Welcome to my blog about Building and Renovating in Australia!

I’ve recently built and then performed a few renovations on my first home which is now an investment property. After building with Rivergum Homes, I then decided to perform a few upgrades myself to the house, including:

• installing kitchen cupboards from Bunnings
• laying IKEA Tundra floating floor throughout the house
• building a custom desk from IKEA
• and installing a DIY Stair Kit from Ezistep as well as one from Prefab Stairs.

Along the way, I’ve also used a few cheap power tools to help me in completing my renovation project under budget including the XU1 Jigsaw which cost a grand total of $20 from Bunnings as well as a few other cheap tools.

Rather than letting those experiences go to waste, I’ve decided to blog about them and share my knowledge and experience along with any helpful tips that I can provide you with, as well as my thoughts about the products that I have used, with the hope that you’ll find it useful in deciding what to do with your home.
